WalMart hosts grand reopening
Chipley Mayor Linda Cain and
Councilman-elect Tommy McDonald cut the ribbons to mark
the official re-opening
of the Chipley WalMart Supercenter
City and county officials
were on hand Sept. 1st when the Chipley WalMart reopened
with great fanfare. Among those participating in the re-opening
were members of the choir at Kate Smith Elementary School
who sang the National Anthem.
Welcoming shoppers, store manager Joy Davis
reported WalMart Store #2114 usually hasapproximately 300
employees who are active in their community. Davis said
local associates support a number of worthwhile causes and
checks were presented a number of organizations, including
the following:
* Caring and Sharing
* Tri-County Community Council
* Literacy Volunteers of Washington County
* Chipley Police Department
* Chipley Fire Department
* Graceville Community Church
